Bihar Jan Shikhsha Yatra
As a campaign, trying to spread awareness and making people realise that they cannot be indifferent to the dearth of quality public education in our country. The target groups for awareness campaign are students and their parents; middle class; government officials and elected representatives. The awareness campaign will be executed in the form of a ‘Shiksha Yatra’.
We will organise dialogues to facilitate conversations on the current Public Education scenario. Students, teachers, representatives from middle class households, workers, people working in the field of education, people’s elected representatives etc shall be brought together on a platform to have solution oriented discussion.
A memorandum specifying the demands and requirements to improve public education will be signed by the students and submitted to the
Honorable Chief Minister of Bihar in Patna.
On Ground Workshops
The workshops conducted on the ground are designed to have a comprehensive approach which lays its emphasis on critical thinking while arming the students with skills that they will need to be lifelong learners in a competitive, interconnected world through dynamic cycles of inquiry, action and reflection. Our aim is not just to make students literate, but to provide them with quality education that can help them build a better future.
So far we have conducted several workshops with students enrolled in middle and high schools in Katihar, Purnea, Saharsa, Muzaffarpur, Begusarai, Madhubani
