EDUCATION SYSTEM OF OUR COUNTRY - INDIA

Education is fundamental to human progress. It plays a prominent role in the overall development of individuals as well as society. A large number of books have been written on the importance of education. Education plays a crucial role in creating a patriotic, disciplined, and productive workforce.

Education-based labor is a priceless resource that can advance the country. ITis the unhindered development of a person's intrinsic abilities to cultivate individuality. It aims for the holistic development of the personality.

Since India is a welfare state, providing education to its citizens is, in theory, the state's job. It is a crucial component of the economy's social sector. It increases the effectiveness and productivity of human resources, resulting in sustainable economic growth. On the nation's social and economic performance, it has both direct and indirect consequences. For the vertical and horizontal growth of the education sector, the state's participation is crucial.

With more than 1.5 million schools, 8.5 million teachers, and 250 million students, the Indian educational system is one of the biggest in the world. Along with China, it is more complicated, and we have young people who are prepared to work and change the world.

HISTORY OF OUR EDUCATION SYSTEM

educational history: The system was based on the gurukuls, which included teachers and students known as shishyas ( students). During that time, pupils were expected to assist in the gurus' everyday tasks because they were seen as an important component of their education. Sanskrit and other sacred texts were taught to students, among other things. In addition, students were taught mantras and math; however, the current educational system has now taken its place.

MODERN EDUCATION SYSYTEM

It was brought during the colonial era by the British. The system was built on an examination-based structure that gave science and math precedence while diminishing the importance of spiritual scriptures. The government authorized the 5+3+3+4 curriculum on July 29, 2020, replacing the previous 10+2+3 curriculum that was used in India's educational system. Primary, secondary, and higher education systems are the foundation of the current educational system.

ROLE OF HRD(HUMAN RESOURCE AND DEVELOPMENT)

The role that the University Grants Commission (UGC) plays in overseeing higher education, funding distribution, and university recognition in India is to regulate higher education.

The universities are being evaluated and ranked by the National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC).

In addition, the Indian Council for Technical Education (AICTE) was founded to examine the sphere of education and journalism.

Overall Human Resource Development is crucial to the nation's balancing of its social, economic, and political systems.

ROLE OF THE PRIVATE SECTOR

India has a large number of private universities and institutions. However, the results are not adequate despite the country's rapid expansion of this phenomenon. As a result of the private sector's entry, there has been a boom in investment and financial resources, and classrooms and buildings are now well-equipped with ac and other modern conveniences. As a result, students are under pressure to perform well on exams to gain admission to higher universities, which is compromising their ability to learn fundamental concepts.

DRAWBACKS OF HIGHER EDUCATION

After China and with several Institutes, India has the third-largest educational system in the world, although there are obvious concerns about its relevance and quality. Higher tuition costs at schools and colleges drive parents to take out loans to fund their children's further education. India is falling behind in terms of research and internationalization; just a select few are receiving the required recognition.

MOST SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES ARE RUNNING WITHOUT THE BASIC NEEDS AND INFRASTRUCTURE, MOST HAVE POOR QUALITY OF CURRICULUM AND ARE NOT BEING UPDATED, AND ARE INCAPABLE DUE TO LESS COLLABORATION WITH INDUSTRIES. MANY STUDENTS LOSE THEIR JOBS.

EDUCATION - DEMANDS FOR CHANGES

When knowledge is successfully used in the actual world, education needs to evolve.

Education is designed to develop good character in people. We may be superior to a whole library if we learn ideas and work to instill them. built this in our system lacking. We, therefore, require real skills, soft skills, and the actual implementation of what you study. We require a vocal education program. For teachers to stay current on the most recent advancements in the education industry, a workshop must be conducted. Every year, a small percentage of engineers and professionals graduate, but this is owing to a significant skill gap, which is the fault of our examination. This is changes needed to be implemented earlier as possible.

This is true. I strongly believe that the change in policy should be made after a lot of deliberation with the actual stakeholders.
